Arsenal tickets for final game that touts tried to flog for £53,000 now going for 150 TIMES less after title KO

ARSENAL’S defeat to Brighton left fans with broken hearts – but has potentially hit ticket touts even heavier in the pockets.

At one point, when the Gunners topped the table, tickets for the final day against Wolves were being re-sold for £53,000 EACH.

But Arsenal have since all-but conceded the title to champions Manchester City.

Mikel Arteta’s side lost 3-0 at home to Brighton on a weekend City beat Everton 3-0 to go four points clear with a game in hand.

Some Gooners are refusing to lose hope but it seems previously ambitious ticket touts are not so confident.

The same seats that were being flogged for thousands in the hope of watching Arsenal’s first title win since 2004 are now going for 150 TIMES less.

Lower tier tickets – that usually go for £73 – are being sold on for around £345 for Arsenal’s final game of the season.

It comes after second-half goals from Julio Enciso, Deniz Undav and Pervis Estupinan condemned Arsenal to a devastating defeat.

And after City they marched on to their 11th consecutive league victory, they have been left with one hand on their seventh title

And not even Gunners boss Arteta can argue as he voiced his disappointment after defeat to Brighton.

He told Sky Sports: “A week ago I was standing here feeling proud and today we have to apologise for the performance in the second half.

“It was not acceptable. Mathematically, it’s still possible, but today it’s impossible to think about it.

“We need to digest the result and the performance in the second half, understand why and have a different reaction.”
